About the presenter
Leanne Venier, B.S.M.E, C.P. AOBTA, is an international award-winning artist, scientist, engineer, and expert on the science of color and light who regularly lectures about the healing effects of color, light frequencies, and art at major medical centers, MENSA and elsewhere. She now combines her art with her past careers – as a mechanical engineer designing submarines for Lockheed, then acupuncturist, and eastern medicine practitioner– to teach medical practitioners and lay people about the latest scientific research using color and art for healing purposes. Venier’s evocative abstract oil paintings, according to viewers, medical doctors and NASA research, have noticeable healing effects.
Venier has been interviewed many times on radio and NBC-TV. Her artwork has been featured in numerous national and international magazines and has won several awards including “Grand Prize of the Jury” in Vico del Gargano, Italy, “Best of Texas” in Dallas, and Finalist in the prestigious Hunting Art Prize. Her healing paintings have been sought out for private, medical, and corporate collections around the world. She also lectures about Creativity and Consciousness and teaches people to use color to tap into their own right brain creativity and natural healing abilities in her Healing Colors Creativity Workshops.
Venier has been actively exploring and studying numerous consciousness-expanding modalities for the past 25 years. She is also on the Board of Trustees and serves as Membership Chair of the Institute for Neuroscience and Consciousness Studies (INACS).
In her career as a professional artist, Venier integrates these expanded states of consciousness directly into her abstract painting process. The paintings that emerge from this process, for many people who view them, often elicit a very profound peace-inducing and healing effect.
