NOTE: This event is not available online.
Join us on February 17 for the sixth presentation in our series exploring the relationship between lucid dreaming and out-of-body experience (OBE). Author, speaker, artist, and OBE expert Graham Nicholls will share his views as well as techniques he has found useful for attaining out-of-body experiences. He will be joining us via Skype teleconference at the Austin Center for Spiritual Living from his home in Estonia and will be available to respond to your questions.
During this presentation, Nicholls will explore the following questions in addition to your own:
- What is the relationship between lucid dreaming and out-of-body experience (OBE)?
- Do the experiences overlap in any way, and how are they different?
- What is happening in the mind and body during a lucid dream versus an OBE?
- What do lucid dreaming and out-of-body experience reveal about the nature of consciousness and the nature of reality?
- Can most people learn to explore these states? If so, how?
- Are there any potential dangers or safety issues in exploring lucid dreams and OBEs? What type of precautions should be taken?
- What are the potential benefits of lucid dreaming and OBE for the individual, society, and humanity?
Click here for a detailed version of the questions from moderator Bob Price, president and director of research at INACS.
About Graham Nicholls
Graham Nicholls is an author, speaker, artist, and out-of-body experience (OBE) specialist. He has had hundreds of OBEs since 1987, several of which have been described as the most powerful witnessed examples on record. Since the early ’90s, he has also developed and designed and built technology using virtual reality, sound, and video to induce altered states of consciousness. These technologies include his Infra-liminal™ sound recordings, which help bring about the vibrational state in the majority of those who use them.
In 2011 he published Avenues of the Human Spirit, a moving account of his personal journey and exploration of the nature of consciousness. It was followed the next year by his second book, Navigating the Out-of-Body Experience: Radical New Techniques, which offers a totally new way to learn and approach the subject of OBEs, remote viewing, and the extended mind.
Since the late 1990s Nicholls has lectured widely at events including the Gateways of the Mind and the International Remote Viewing Association Conference, as well as at venues including Cambridge University, the Institute of Noetic Sciences, the Society for Psychical Research, and the UK’s Science Museum.
He has organized, conducted, and taken part in experiments into telepathy and precognition with author and biologist Dr. Rupert Sheldrake, and has taken part in experiments with Dr. Dean Radin to effect the famous quantum double-slit experiment using only psi ability, all with positive results.
Graham Nicholls is highly respected for his logical and scientific approach and for his willingness to debate sceptics. His work has been featured by much of the quality press, including the BBC, The Independent, The Times, and The Telegraph, as well as alternative media ranging from The Moore Show and AfterlifeTV to Lilou Mace.
Nicholls offers individual online OBE coaching and will be offering an online 5-week Navigator course beginning March 1, 2015, in which he will be teaching the core skills for having consistent out-of-body experiences.
