Join us on July 16 for the third presentation in our series exploring the relationship between lucid dreaming and out-of-body experience. William Buhlman, widely considered America’s leading expert on out-of-body experiences, will discuss both topics, highlight his extensive research of 16,000 of these extraordinary events, and describe a process that can be used effectively and safely to produce non-physical adventures. Buhlman will be joining us via a live interactive Skype videoconference at the Austin Center for Spiritual Living and will be available to respond to your questions.
Both lucid dreams and out-of-body experiences can be life-changing. Waking up in your dreams or leaving the body and consciously visiting other locations in real time provide unique opportunities for personal growth and profound spiritual awakenings as well as fascinating experiences that confirm the multi-dimensional nature of reality.
During the presentation, Buhlman will explore the following questions in addition to your own:
- What is the relationship between lucid dreaming and out-of-body experience (OBE)?
- Do the experiences overlap in any way, and how are they different?
- What is happening in the mind and body during a lucid dream versus an OBE?
- What do lucid dreaming and out-of-body experience reveal about the nature of consciousness and the nature of reality?
- Can most people learn to explore these states? If so, how?
- Are there any potential dangers or safety issues in exploring lucid dreams and OBEs? What type of precautions should be taken?
- What are the potential benefits of lucid dreaming and OBE for the individual, society, and humanity?
William Buhlman is one of America’s leading experts on astral travel and out-of-body experience. The author’s thirty years of extensive personal out-of-body explorations give him a unique and thought provoking insight into this subject. His first book, Adventures Beyond the Body, chronicles his personal journey of self-discovery through out-of-body travel and provides the reader with the preparation and techniques that can be used for their own adventure.
During the last six years he has conducted an international out-of-body experience survey that includes over 16,000 participants from 32 countries. The provocative results of this survey are presented in his second book, The Secret of the Soul, which explores the unique opportunities for personal growth and profound spiritual awakenings that are experienced during out-of-body travel.
Buhlman’s latest book, Adventures in the Afterlife, which was released on June 16, is a powerful journey of spiritual awakening and a bold quest for answers and enlightenment. After being diagnosed with cancer, he pursued answers to the mysteries of our existence after death. Confronting his mortality, he experienced profound insights into what lies beyond our physical body. The author chronicles his out-of-body experiences and lucid dreams through the eyes of a fictional character, Frank Brooks. The insights are sometimes surprising, but a clear message is always apparent; we are powerful, spiritual beings and we shape our reality now and in the future.
Over the past two decades Buhlman has developed a proven, effective system to experience safe, self-initiated out-of-body adventures. As a certified hypnotherapist, he incorporates various methods, including hypnosis, visualization and meditation techniques, in his workshops to explore the profound nature of out-of-body experiences and the benefits of accelerated personal development. Through lectures, workshops, and his books, he teaches the preparation and techniques of authentic spiritual exploration.
